Finca la Rosala

Dear lover of nuts,

My name is Pedro Ciudad Imedio, founder of "Finca La Rosala", which i created in early 2013 in Calzada de Calatrava (Ciudad Real), a small village in the heart of the fields of Calatrava.

This signature is born of two incidents: first, inheriting an estate from my wife's mother, Finca La Rosala, ideal for growing almonds and pistachios, and second, the love i professed since childhood by the "panchitos", a name given to peanut in our province, which the now defunct "Angelito" and his family has been roasting from the early nineteenth century in a wood oven located in the traditional pastry.

One day, after seeing that no one was following in the footsteps of these artists and seeing the possibility that their techniques could be lost forever, i asked "Angelito" to show me their techniques and recipes for toasting, which left me amazed. At that moment, i realized that this secret could not be forgotten and that people all around the world must learn, and enjoy, the taste of this ancient art.

At first, i started toasting my own at home using the technique and learned secrets, adding a unique and innovative touch to my recipes and expanding the range of nuts. By mixing these traditional recipes with new flavors today, star products as "Almond Violet" (selected from all the novelties of the xxviii edition of the Salon de Gourmets), from which "Hazelnut with strawberry" or "Spicy Sunflower Kernel" arise, at the same time i expanded the range of salted nuts, such as pistachios, sunflower seeds or nuts. Getting a range of select nuts with a traditional, healthy and innovative philosophy. Grafted according to the learned knowledge "Angelito" and all-natural products (salt, cane sugar and flavored paprika vera).

Currently handcrafted and toasted in a small factory, whose production is limited, which gives you even more value to our nuts.
